    About Orlando Marin

Orlando Marin, a Bronx native, formed his first band in the 1950’s and is the second longest running Latin band in New York, after Tito Puente’s. Orlando’s ensemble performs a blend of traditional Latin music including salsa and merengue. A contemporary of such greats as Tito Puente, Machito, and Tito Rodriquez, Orland Marin is the only orchestra leader from New York’s golden era of mambo who still performs regularly.
